Jake works as a visual storyteller across the Southwest and West Coast, with home base in Durango, Colorado. After earning his master's degree from UCSD Scripps Institution of Oceanography in marine biodiversity and conservation, he has dedicated his career to promoting sustainable relationships between humanity and vital ecosystems through powerful visual narratives.

In his role at Fishful Future as videographer and content creator, he hob-nobs with San Diego commercial fishers, spending time on their boats capturing the story of their work, and gets in the kitchen to film the creation of homey meals that celebrate local catch.
